Microsoft Surface 2.0

Hello, Everyone! In this feature Mike Angiulo, VP Microsoft Windows, talks about and demonstrates an extreme example of Windows 7 integration with the brand-new version of Microsoft's Surface 2.0 and its new features. Ooyala's Expansion to Australia

Ooyala is an online video platform company, that has raised $42 million, from existing and new investors, to accelerate its global expansion. Most recently that expansion includes Australia. Among the reasons why Ooyala is expanding into Australia is, the 18 million Internet users that also speak English. This is such a benefit because of the number of Internet users that are also potential content creators.





Ooyala was founded by former Google employees:

• Belsasar Lepe, Co-Founder & Lead Engineer (former Google Systems Engineer),
• Bismarck Lepe, Co-Founder & President Product Strategy (former Google Senior Product Manager) and
• Sean Knapp, Co-Founder & President of Technology (developed & launched iGoogle for Google).  

According to a TechCrunch article dated September 1, 2010, Ooyala is hiring for their "newly minted" office in Sydey, Australia. To give you a sense of what the Ooyala work environment is like the second and third videos, below, feature Ooyala's people in 'Ooyala Careers':  'Ooyala People' and 'Ooyala Engineers'.  The fourth video features Ooyala, itself.

Cloud Computing Is Like No Other Technology Wave

— As for the right name, what more need be said than that Cloud Computing has caught on in a way that "Grid Computing" or "Utility Computing" or "Elastic Computing" never did?

As a metaphor is sums up perfectly the spirit of compute capacity that can be set up and torn down programatically, leaving someone else to take care of the networking and hardware.

However there's no doubt that "Cloud fatigue" is in danger of setting in as almost every existing suite of software becomes not re-engineered but merely re-branded, and give the magic C-word. iTKO Teams with IBM On New Cloud Service
